Isle of Wight
The Year 7s visited a new activity centre this year on the Isle of Wight trip.
A superb (and exhausting) trip was had by all at Kingswood. After a short jaunt over to the Isle, the boys had a refreshing swimming session to cool off and play a variety of fun games. They started off strong on their first full day, learning how to belay for their friends then how to abseil down a ten-metre-high tower. Following this, stand up paddle boarding - a new activity for NCS - allowed the boys to experience the fun of the ocean while improving their balance. More than a few had an early bath! Teamwork was the name of the game as the boys moved into the last couple of days with Aeroball, Jacob’s ladder and orienteering making a solid impression. The Isle of Wight trip is always a successful and enjoyable way to boost communications skills, as well as a great experience to share with friends.
