All the speakers not only outlined the salient features of the work they do, but reflected  thoughtfully on the decisions and paths – some planned, some serendipitous – that had got them there. It all went to show that it is not too early for the older boys to begin to think about what decisions taken now, or in the next few years, might potentially affect their working lives. And above all, that they should be honest about their talents and interests and try to do something which plays to those strengths.
