Year 6 Insects and their Habitats Workshop
Once again this year, the boys in Year 6 attended a fascinating workshop at the Oxford University Museum of Natural History on insects and their habitats. We had been learning all about classification of invertebrates and their adaptations in Science lessons and the boys were able to extend their classwork with an interactive session and trail in the museum. They learnt about the anatomy of insects and the variety of habitats they can be found in. The highlight was the opportunity to handle some Madagascar hissing cockroaches and look at arthropod features close up.
