Elizabeth Hess

MA (Cantab), AMA

Mrs Elizabeth Hess is the school librarian. She studied Archaeology and Anthropology at Cambridge University, specialising in Classical Archaeology, and she is a qualified museum curator. Elizabeth has worked in London museums in a variety of areas, including as librarian, and has researched access for under-fives and the use of touch in displays. She enjoys children’s literature and storytelling and is on the committee of Oxfordshire Schools' Library Association and a school guide at Oxford Cathedral. She uses her interests in material culture and the history of costume and food for various school activities and assisting with plays.
